Community Engagement | Clean Water | Sustainable Development
Dear Ekklesia Oromia Supporters,
We are pleased to share another important milestone in Ekklesia Oromia’s ongoing mission to improve lives, strengthen communities, and promote sustainable development across Ethiopia.
Advancing Access to Clean Water and Sanitation
Ekklesia Oromia continues to play an active role in advancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives through its participation in the Water Forum under the Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA).
Through collaboration with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and development partners, Ekklesia Oromia supports efforts to expand access to safe drinking water, improve sanitation facilities, and promote healthier living environments for underserved communities.
Our involvement reflects our continued commitment to building sustainable solutions that create lasting improvements in the lives of individuals and families throughout Ethiopia.
Strengthening Community Voices and Accountability
One of the important initiatives supported by Ekklesia Oromia is the “Amplifying Citizen Voices for Accountable Urban Water Supply Services in Ethiopia” project.
This collaborative initiative promotes community participation, transparency, and accountability in water service delivery.
By encouraging citizens to share their experiences, express their concerns, and participate in decisions affecting their communities, the project helps strengthen the relationship between service providers and the people they serve.
We believe that meaningful and lasting development begins when communities have a voice in shaping their future.
Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders
Beyond improving water and sanitation services, Ekklesia Oromia recognizes the importance of investing in Ethiopia’s future leaders.
Our organization is committed to creating opportunities for recent graduates and young professionals to gain practical experience in water management, sanitation, community development, and advocacy.
Through mentorship, collaboration, and participation in community-based initiatives, we aim to equip emerging professionals with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to address Ethiopia’s development challenges.
By investing in young people today, we are helping build stronger and more resilient communities for tomorrow.
Ekklesia Oromia Recognized in Addis Ababa
We are also pleased to share that Ekklesia Oromia’s logo has been featured on a public billboard near the historic Ghion Hotel in Addis Ababa.
The billboard promotes engagement within Ethiopia’s water and sanitation sector, bringing visibility to participating organizations and development partners.
The inclusion of Ekklesia Oromia’s logo highlights our participation alongside organizations working toward improved water access, sanitation, and sustainable development.
This visibility represents another encouraging step in expanding awareness of our mission and strengthening relationships with partners, professionals, and stakeholders across Ethiopia.
Moving Forward Together
At Ekklesia Oromia, we believe sustainable development requires community participation, responsible leadership, strong partnerships, and investment in future generations.
We remain dedicated to working alongside our partners and communities to improve access to essential services, empower vulnerable populations, and create opportunities for lasting change.

To our generous donors, volunteers, partners, and friends, thank you for your unwavering support, prayers, and dedication to Ekklesia Oromia.
